'Til The Cows
Come Home

Welcome To
'Til The Cows Come Home

Every year, millions of unwanted farm animals suffer an unimaginable fate as they are deemed “waste”.

Many people are not aware of the common practices that occur in agriculture farming to meet consumer demands. Dairy cows forcefully impregnated, mother and babies separated and all sent to slaughter when no longer needed. Hens confined in spaces to lay eggs at unnatural rate. These animals are all exploited to meet consumer demands.

‘Til The Cows Come Home transforms the lives of unwanted farm animals through rescuing, rehoming, and promoting a kinder world. We give a voice to farm animals by telling their stories and inspiring change. We operate Australia wide, connecting with farmers and families to help animals.

What We Do

Rescue

We take in unwanted, “waste” animals from farms. Whether that be calves, hens goats or pigs, we will never turn away from an animal needing our help.

Rehabilitate

We place animals in short term foster care where they will be given shelter, food, medical care and shown lots of love & warmth.

Rehome

We find, like-minded, people wishing to adopt a farm animal as a companion to give these animals a home outside of the industry.

Our laws fail animals

Current Australian animal welfare laws need to change. They fail to protect animals, like Charlie here, from unimaginable cruelty. They are exploited, all for the benefit of humans.

Meet Elmo

In the dairy industry, Elmo is considered a waste product.

Dairy farms are dependent on females to make a profit. Just like humans, in order for female cows to produce milk they must give birth to a calf. For this reason, female cows are continually impregnated to keep up their milk supply.

If a female cow gives birth to a male, he is deemed to be a waste product as he cannot produce milk and therefore does not bring profit to the farm. To save on costs for caring for these unwanted male calves, they are killed on the farm or sent to an abattoir to be slaughtered for pet food. This is the cruel reality of this $4 billion industry.

The dark side of farming

Every year millions of animals are deemed "waste" when they no longer serve a purpose in agricultural farming. As a result, they are killed or sold on for their meat. We believe that all farm animals deserve to feel love and safety in the way that domestic pets do, and we are here to give that to them.

A candle burns bright to remember all the farm animals who we have lost, who we could not reach and who still remain trapped in these industries.
