Taken away from their mothers shortly after birth, Betsy and Neville have endured a traumatic start to life, a beginning no living being deserves.
Male calves born on dairy farms are commonly deemed as “waste” or “surplus”, as they offer little financial gain to the farmer. These calves are often “disposed of” on the farm or sent on a truck to a slaughterhouse.
Similarly, females born on dairy farms are often kept for future milk production. Or when the farmer doesn’t need more females, or they aren’t worthy of breeding, they too face the same horrible fate.
Neville and Betsy were rescued in a hurry as they faced an unimaginable fate. Fortunately, they were saved in the nick of time. Thanks to the generosity of our kind donors, Betsy and Neville are now safe in short-term foster care.

Neville, the most excitable of the two, brings a burst of energy with his infectious enthusiasm and happy disposition. Betsy, on the other hand, is a playful soul with a penchant for chewing and sucking on anything within reach, much like a curious puppy. Their interactions with other animals – from hens to dogs – have been harmonious, showcasing their adaptable and friendly nature.
