During their time at the pound, a terrifying incident unfolded when a Bull Arab dog managed to breach an 8-foot fence, launching an attack on Chase, and leaving him injured and vulnerable. In a moment of sheer courage, Hero leapt to his new companion’s defence, fearlessly chasing the dog away and preventing Chase from serious harm. Since then, their bonded has blossomed, with Hero regularly keeping watch over his cherished friend, his bravery a testament to the loyalty and devotion he offers to those he cares for.

Chase captured our hearts the moment he arrived. Despite life’s challenges, he remains friendly and affectionate, the epitome of sweetness and charm. A resilient boy, Chase’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges—in addition to finding himself all on his lonesome and eventually being impounded and then attacked, he also lost his tail some time ago and occasionally battles with pesky files but there are ways that an adopter can support Chase with flies (DIY scratching poles, fly treatments). Yet, whether it’s snuggling up for a cosy cuddle or embarking on a leisurely stroll on a lead, Chase is easily won over with his favourite treats and is always ready to be your faithful sidekick, promising to be an incredible companion for anyone willing to open their heart and home to him.

Hero, while initially shy, his true nature shines through as a gentle and kind soul to everyone, and he quickly warms up with the allure of an apple. Treat him to some crumble, and you’ll witness him transform, resembling an excited, bounding puppy! With each interaction, he’s learning to trust and become more comfortable with being handled, with affectionate scratches only deepening his bond, promising to be an incredibly loyal companion.

Dogs: Considering Chase and Hero’s past experiences at the pound, it’s important for their new home to be extra cautious when it comes to introducing them to dogs. Ideally, they should have minimal interaction with dogs and be given plenty of space to feel comfortable and secure.

Missing Tail/Keeping Flies Away: Chase will benefit from regular pour-on fly treatments, and occasional sprays around his backside may also help. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem to bother him much otherwise.

Chase and Hero will bring endless entertainment into any home and are sure to enrich the lives of their adoptive family in countless ways. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to welcomes these incredible souls into your life. Click HERE to submit an adoption inquiry.
