Can you welcome Daisy, Amora, Tim & Pablo. into your home?

Most farm animals outlive many ‘domestic’ pets. Several breeds of farm animals can live beyond 20 years, requiring a long-term commitment from owners to provide proper feed, ongoing healthcare, and suitable living conditions.

However, this long-term commitment is sometimes overlooked by owners of farm animals when they commit to giving them a home. In such cases, farm animals may end up in situations where they need to be surrendered, and if this fails, these animals are often abandoned, euthanised or end up in the wrong hands, facing a sad fate.

Farm animals are frequently perceived as less deserving of lifetime commitment compared to domestic animals, and as a result, euthanasia as a solution isn’t frowned upon as much. This attitude contributes to the challenges faced by farm animals when they are no longer wanted or cannot be properly cared for.

Though they’ll never know how lucky they are, Daisy, Amora, Tim and Pablo are the exception – they have a family who won’t give up on them. This herd’s family wanted nothing less than to give them a home for good, but things changed quickly when their owners were faced with news that shattered their plans as they faced supporting their family with the diagnosis of a serious illness. 💔

While the cows are adored and loved by their owners, their owners need to be there for their family at this time, and they know that Daisy, Amora, Tim and Pablo need more than what they can give right now and for the foreseeable future.

Daisy, Amora, Tim and Pablo are looking for a new home where they will be loved as companions, not commodities.

Meet Daisy, Amora, Tim, and Pablo: four gentle souls in search of a new home. They come from a background filled with love and care, but due to serious health concerns in their current owner’s family, they now need a compassionate family to take over the care of the cows during this difficult time so that they can focus on being there for their family.

Adopted into their current family in December 2024, these cows are friendly and full of charm- a reflection of the nurturing they’ve received from both their previous and current caregivers.

Daisy and Amora are a classic sister duo, bonded deeply yet not above the occasional food-related squabble. Daisy recently weaned her son, Tim, and is receiving some extra nourishment to regain her strength.

Tim is a bit shy at first, but warms up nicely with time and patience.

Pablo, the most sensitive of the group, prefers the company of Daisy and Amora but gets along well with Tim, too. He especially enjoys a sweet pear as a treat.

This calm, quiet crew delights in simple pleasures, like a good scratch, and responds well to snack and dinner calls. They are easy to handle and willingly accept any necessary treatments.

While mostly well-mannered, they can be a little cheeky, occasionally testing boundaries by poking around electric fences to see if they’re active or not (if they aren’t on, they like to see how green the grass is on the other side!). For this reason, secure and suitable fencing is essential, as they enjoy exploring if given the chance, but they aren’t escape artists as such.

They are strong and resilient companions who adjust well to new environments, only taking about three weeks to warm up to their current owner after arriving.

These cows remain calm around dogs and are unbothered by the presence of young children, who can safely interact with them through fencing under supervision. Their friendly, mellow nature makes them ideal additions to a loving home with good fencing and room to roam.

If you have the space and heart to welcome this peaceful herd, Daisy, Amora, Tim, and Pablo could become beloved members of your family. Their gentle presence and unique personalities are sure to bring joy and warmth to any home.
