Adoption Deadline: September 2024

This quartet of sheep have shared their lives since they were orphaned lambs. Hand-raised with devotion, Daphne, Pops, Jimmy, and Ringo have grown into a harmonious flock, each with unique charm. As the winds of change blow through their home, these four companions need a new place to call their own, and they are ready to bring joy and companionship to a compassionate adopter.

With the upcoming sale of their current property, their family must relocate and downsize, leaving no room for their beloved flock. This heart-wrenching decision comes with a plea for a kind-hearted adopter to provide these sheep with the home they deserve before the end of September. Their future remains uncertain if not rehomed, making this a compassionate call to action.

When their family reached out to us, it was with a heavy heart but a glimmer of hope that someone would offer these cherished sheep a loving and secure home—a second chance. They have lived alongside cows, horses, dogs, cats, and hens, creating a peaceful and harmonious environment that we hope can be replicated in their new home.

Daphne, the sweetest girl, is a gentle soul with a quiet demeanour. She has shown remarkable resilience, overcoming a rough patch of illness, and is now thriving with renewed strength. The alpha male Pops is the steadfast leader who always looks out for the younger boys, who often follow him around. He enjoys a good pet and has a calm nature that brings a sense of peace to the flock. Jimmy is playful and loves engaging in head-butting games with Ringo, his best pal. These two are inseparable, always keeping each other entertained with their playful antics. Ringo, the youngest and most adventurous, is usually the one causing excitement around the place. His curiosity often leads him into mischievous escapades, like getting his head stuck in feed bags or chewing on some string. Despite his antics, his affectionate and food-motivated nature, especially his love for licorice, makes him the first to come running when called.

The ideal home for these four sheep would be a place where they can stay together, as their bond is unbreakable. A spacious, secure environment where they can roam freely and safely explore would be perfect. Their new family should be patient, loving, and prepared to manage Ringo’s curiosity with a sense of humour and care. A household that understands the joys and challenges of farm animal companionship will be rewarded with the deep affection and unique personalities of Daphne, Pops, Jimmy, and Ringo.

Other notes: Crutched, wormed, and treated for lice on 18/7/24. Wormed with Abamectim plus selenium. Due again in October 2024. Treated for lice with Flexolt Oral Lice Sheep Treatment. A contact for a mobile shearer who does drenching can be provided. Pops was not banded as a lamb, and a vet desexed him, so he still has his sacks intact. Please ensure the shearer knows this during shearing to avoid accidental injury. Last shorn in October 2023. Due again once the cold weather subsides.
