Can you welcome The Piglets into your home?

At the start of the year, two young sisters were rescued from the brink of a fate far too common for pigs—an end at the butcher’s knife. They were brought to safety by a family who saw them not as food but as living beings deserving of love and care. What they didn’t know was that one of these sisters carried a secret—she was carrying new life. In the quiet of their new home, she gave birth to six precious piglets: George, Splotch, HeyHey, Iggle, Milkshake, and Gordon. These little ones entered the world surrounded by love, never knowing the horrors that could have awaited them.

Born into a world where pigs are often seen as commodities—destined for slaughter and consumption—these six piglets were given a chance at life that many of their kind never get to experience. From the moment they took their first breaths, they were cared for like the deserving companions they are. Raised on an 8-hectare farm, they’ve spent their days exploring alongside horses, cows, ponies, chickens, goats, and sheep. These piglets have learnt that the world is full of friends, both human and animal, and they’ve thrived in this diverse and loving environment, shaping them into friendly, well-socialised piglets who are comfortable around people and other animals alike.

Each day for George, Splotch, HeyHey, Iggle, Milkshake, and Gordon is an adventure. Mornings begin with the sun’s warm rays as they emerge from their cosy pen, eager to explore the farm. With noses to the ground, they love to dig and forage, discovering hidden treasures beneath the soil. They roam freely, sticking close together as they navigate the fields, greeting horses and peacocks along the way. By midday, they often find a shady spot to rest, their bellies full from snacking on fresh grass and the occasional treat hand-fed by their human caregivers. As the day winds down, they return to their pen, knowing dinner awaits—a comforting end to a day of play and exploration.

These piglets are more than just cute—they’re smart, trainable, and affectionate little creatures who love to explore their surroundings. Despite the old fencing around the farm, they’ve never tried to escape, preferring instead to stay close to home, where they know they’re safe. They’re typical pigs that love to dig and forage, but they’re also well-behaved and easy to manage. Their time spent among so many different animals has made them adaptable and gentle, able to coexist peacefully in any setting.

The ideal home for George, Splotch, HeyHey, Iggle, Milkshake, and Gordon is one where they will be cherished as family members, not commodities. They need secure fencing to keep them safe, a comfortable pen for their nightly snuggles, a wallow to cool off on summer days, and plenty of space to roam and explore during the day.

Pigs are incredibly intelligent and benefit from mental stimulation—whether it’s playing with treat balls, exploring new areas, going for walks, or simply enjoying the company of their human companions. They can also be a great help around the home, happily cleaning up food scraps and offering companionship in return. These piglets would thrive in a home that can offer them the attention and care they’ve grown up with. Ideally, they’ll be adopted in bonded pairs, so they can continue the close relationships they’ve formed with each other.

In a world where pigs are often seen as mere products; George, Splotch, HeyHey, Iggle, Milkshake, and Gordon stand as a reminder of what can be when compassion wins out. They deserve a life filled with love, not fear.
