Unwanted. Abandoned. Unloved – Now Given a Second Chance.
Most farm animals outlive the life expectancy of many ‘domestic’ pets. Many breeds of farm animals can live beyond 20 years, which represents a long-term commitment for their owners to provide appropriate feed, meet their ongoing healthcare needs over the years and remain on a suitable property.
However, this long-term commitment is sometimes overlooked by owners of farm animals when committing to give them a home. In such cases, farm animals may end up in situations where they need to be surrendered, and if this fails, these animals are often abandoned, euthanised, or end up in the wrong hands, facing a sad fate.
Farm animals are frequently perceived as less deserving of lifetime commitment compared to domestic animals, and as a result, euthanasia as a solution isn’t frowned upon as much. This attitude contributes to the challenges faced by farm animals when they are no longer wanted or cannot be cared for properly.
Chilli, Salt, Pepper and Sage ended up with the local council and were unclaimed.
Calls were made to the local community for their owner to claim them, but there was no response. It’s likely that Chilli, Salt, Pepper and Sage were unfortunately abandoned. For what reason, we’ll never know.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, Chilli, Salt, Pepper and Sage were rescued and taken to one of our loving foster homes. After receiving plenty of love and care, they are now ready to find a home where they will be cherished as companions, not commodities.

Meet Pepper, Chilli, Salt and Sage, a gorgeous little herd of four who are looking for a forever home together. They are incredibly friendly, calm, and absolutely adore people. If you’re looking for goats with beautiful temperaments, these four will steal your heart.
They are fantastic with children, happily eating treats from little hands and enjoying gentle interaction. Their sweet, trusting nature makes them a joy to be around.
The four share a close bond and spend most of their time together. Pepper is sometimes a little more adventurous and will wander off to explore before happily returning to the group, but they generally stick together as a tight-knit little herd. They have also settled in beautifully with the foster carers’ goats – they are very sociable.
Like any happy goats, they enjoy grazing, playing, and exploring their surroundings, while also appreciating time with their people. Their calm, gentle personalities make them a wonderful addition to a family.
Pepper, Salt, Chilli and Sage are loving goats who will bring so much love, personality, and happiness to the lucky family who adopts them.
