Every year, thousands of farm animals are born through breeding programs designed for various purposes, most commonly for their milk, meat, breeding, or fur. A small fraction of these animals have the opportunity to live happy, loving lives as cherished companions, while the rest face uncertain fates. 💔
In the world of animal breeding, it is inevitable that some animals are born with physical or genetic deficiencies, which can range from minor to severe. On commercial farms, animals that fail to thrive or do not meet perfection standards are often disposed of quickly. On smaller farms, breeders face the difficult decision of whether the time, care, and financial resources required to support an animal with special needs are feasible to provide.
Hope and Tripsy, both born with imperfections, initially faced a grim future due to the care they required.
However, thanks to the generosity of donors, they were surrendered to ‘Til The Cows Come Home, where they underwent rehabilitation to transform their lives and futures into ones filled with hope.
Now thriving, Hope and Tripsy are ready to find their forever home, where they will be loved as companions, not commodities.

Meet Hope and Tripsy, a friendship that was meant to be. Hope and Tripsy both need a special and unique home where they will be kept under closer watch and closer to the family home. Hope and Tripsy have overcome incredible challenges in life, and together they’ve become an inseparable pair looking for a very special forever home.
Tripsy is a confident, affectionate girl who loves being part of the action. She’ll often make sure she’s first to the feed trough, but despite her enthusiasm, she’s gentle and never pushy. Curious and fearless, Tripsy has lived both indoors with dogs and outdoors alongside other animals, making her a wonderfully adaptable companion. Following surgery to correct contracted tendons, she has adjusted remarkably well and happily walks, explores, and even enjoys the occasional playful bounce. To protect her leg long-term, she’ll need her weight carefully managed and a flat paddock.
It is impossible not to fall in love with Hope. Born with a displaced neck vertebra that affected blood flow to her brain, she faced an uncertain start to life. Although she recovered well after treatment, she still has some coordination and cognitive differences that make her even more lovable. She has a wonky gallop, adores following people around the paddock, and will always be the first to greet you at the fence. Gentle, trusting, and endlessly affectionate, Hope especially loves back massages and spending time with her favorite humans.
Together, Hope and Tripsy live peacefully with alpacas and share a beautiful bond. Hope would be happiest remaining with Tripsy in a calm home where they can be showered with love and attention. Because of Hope’s condition, she should not be housed with other sheep, as normal bunting and mounting behavior could put her at risk of injury. She may also occasionally benefit from treatment by an animal chiropractor if she experiences any mobility issues.

❤️🩹Hope has a Neurological birth condition. Born with a displaced neck vertebra that blocked some blood flow to her brain. Initially unable to walk, she recovered quickly after treatment, although there are some cognitive and coordination effects that do not hamper her and actually make her the most endearing best friend you never knew you needed. Hope would be best suited to a home with just Tripsy, where people can dote on her and give her unlimited love. It is highly recommended not to put her with other sheep, as bunting and mounting behavior may cause her injury. She may occasionally need an animal chiropractor if she has mobility difficulties. Hope loves a massage along her back.
❤️🩹Tripsy’s front right leg has had tendon surgery as she had contracted tendons; she has limited range of motion. She will need active management of her weight to not overload her leg.
🌱 Both Tripsy and Hope eat pasture and need grassy hay. Add Chaff and stock nuts as required to maintain weight.
🤎 All adopters receive an adoption letter and an animal profile that outlines all medical treatments the animal has received, such as vaccines. It also includes specific dietary information to continue, as well as guidance on transport.

✅ We adhere to biosecurity obligations, which include having a PIC number, NLIS tags, and completing the necessary movement paperwork (eNVD and movement record).
