Every year, thousands of farm animals are born into breeding programs for purposes such as milk production, breeding, meat, or fur. Only a small fraction will ever experience the safety and love of a forever home, where they are valued as individuals from the moment they are born.
The reality of breeding is that not every animal is born “perfect.” Some are born with physical or genetic differences that range from minor to severe. On commercial farms, animals that are unlikely to thrive or meet production standards are often quickly discarded. On smaller farms, breeders may face the difficult decision of whether they have the time, resources, and finances to care for an animal with additional needs.
Rose and Dahlia were born into a world where their future was uncertain. We can’t share all the details of their rescue, but thanks to the kindness and generosity of our supporters, they are now safe. They have been given the chance to experience what every animal deserves – a life filled with safety, compassion, and love.

Rose and Dahlia are adorable twin sisters looking for a forever home together. Full of personality, curiosity, and playful energy, these two are everything you could want in young goats. Whether they’re racing around the paddock, bouncing off logs or finding the highest spot to climb, they make every day entertaining.
Dahlia is the quieter of the pair. She is confident without being pushy and enjoys exploring alongside her sister, happily seeking out new places to investigate. Playful and energetic, she loves to run, jump and climb, embracing everything that makes goats so much fun. While she’s not one to curl up for cuddles, she enjoys interacting with people through play and is a gentle, easy-going girl. Dahlia lives happily with other goats and a lamb, and has also been exposed to calves and dogs at a distance without concern.
Rose is the bold adventurer. She is confident, inquisitive, and is never shy about making her way to the front at feed time! If there’s something new to explore or climb, Rose is usually the first to check it out. Like her sister, she is energetic and playful, spending her days bouncing around the paddock and making the most of every opportunity for fun. Rose enjoys human interaction but would much rather be playing than sitting still for cuddles. She also lives peacefully with other goats and a lamb, and has shown no concern around calves and dogs from a distance.
As a bonded pair, Rose and Dahlia rely on each other and must be adopted together. They would thrive in a home that can provide plenty of space to explore, secure goat fencing, climbing opportunities and a family who enjoys watching goats express their natural behaviours.
