After fighting for a life of independence for many months, Hope didn’t let her disability define her future.
Every year, thousands of farm animals are born through breeding programs designed for various purposes, most commonly for their milk, offspring, meat, or fur. A small fraction of farm animals that are born in breeding programs get to experience a happy, loving life, becoming cherished companions and remaining safe from the moment they are born.
In the world of breeding animals, it is inevitable that some animals are born with physical or genetic deficiencies. These can range from minor to severe. On commercial farms, animals that fail to thrive or meet perfection standards are often quickly “disposed of.” On smaller farms, breeders are faced with the difficult decision of whether the time, care, and financial resources required to support an animal with special needs are feasible.
Hope, born with a disability, initially faced a grim future as she required intensive rehabilitation that her owners weren’t able to give her. Thanks to the generosity of donors, Hope was surrendered to ‘Til The Cows Come Home where she underwent rehabilitation to transform her body and future into one filled with hope and life.
Now thriving, Hope is ready to find her forever home, where she will be loved as a companion, not a commodity.

Hope’s journey is truly inspiring, transforming from a disabled lamb to one full of life and independence. After four months of dedicated rehabilitation and round-the-clock care, she has blossomed into a vibrant and affectionate lamb. Ready for a new start with a loving family, Hope’s story stands as a testament to resilience and the power of a nurturing environment.
Raised in a foster home alongside the family dogs and humans, Hope is undoubtedly the friendliest lamb you’ll ever meet. Hope also enjoys the company of other sheep and alpacas. Her time indoors has made her accustomed to human companionship, which she absolutely adores. Hope’s distinct gallop and charming baa can light up anyone’s day, as she eagerly greets you. As she gains strength, she is mastering the art of frolicking and bouncing, making delightful strides every day.
Keeping Hope extra safe should be priority since she is naturally trusting and not aware of outdoor dangers after spending most of her life safe inside. An ideal setting for Hope would be one where her curious nature can be fostered in a safe, well-fenced environment that prevents unplanned exploration.
Hope enjoys some treats but her main diet consists of pellets, chaff, and hay. Offering her a cuddle and some well-earned scratches will quickly win her over, as she cherishes the warmth of human companionship.
Welcoming Hope into your life means inviting a gentle and joyful presence into your heart and home. Having Hope will remind you each day how precious life is and that miracles can happen when you hold onto hope.
