Saved as calves, loved for years – Wilson and Greg are searching for a new forever home.
Most farm animals have a longer life expectancy than many domestic pets. Various breeds of farm animals can live beyond 20 years, which means their owners must be prepared for a long-term commitment that includes providing appropriate feed, meeting ongoing healthcare needs, and ensuring that they have suitable living conditions. Sadly, for these animals, their owner’s life circumstances can change, leaving them in need of a new home.
Rehoming a beloved companion is a difficult reality that many pet owners face, whether it be domestic or farm animals. While some owners may sadly give up on their companions, others will make every effort to ensure that these animals are loved just as much—or even more—in their next home.
Farm animals are at a high risk of being rehomed to someone who views them as commodities.
Thanks to the kind support and generosity of donors, Til The Cows is able to offer a safe rehoming service for farm animals, ensuring they do not end up in the wrong hands and will continue to be cherished as companions, not commodities.

Meet Wilson and Greg, two gentle survivors with big hearts and beautiful brown eyes. Rescued as calves from a dairy farm, this charming pair shares a close bond.
Thanks to dedicated caretakers, a “magic unicorn rug,” and lots of love, Greg has recovered from multiple infections and is now thriving as a grown steer. Both have developed into friendly, healthy companions.
Wilson and Greg are seeking a new, loving home where they can offer gentle companionship and bring joy. They enjoy simple pleasures: roaming pastures, grazing on rich grass and hay, and their favourite treats – cruskits and bread.
While Greg is slightly more outgoing and Wilson can be a bit boisterous, both are comfortable with hand-feeding. Their current caretaker can confidently approach and be with them in the paddock. For safety, it’s advised that children observe and hand-feed from the other side of the fence (this applies to all large animals, not just Greg and Wilson).
They currently live peacefully with llama friends.
Wilson and Greg would suit someone with a large property who wants friendly, peaceful animals as companions or lawnmowers. They can be a bit boisterous with their horns, but not aggressively.
Wilson and Greg need to find a new home by May due to recent bushfires that have affected their current home. A $500 contribution towards transportation costs is offered to support their relocation.
If you think that you could provide Wilson and Greg with a loving home, please click the ‘Apply to adopt‘ button below to contact us and start your adoption journey today.
🚚 Transport to be determined upon adoption application. The adopter will need to cover part of the cost of using a professional transporter, with the owner and the charity contributing a total of $500. Adoption donation applies.
